Out of Order
The debut album for the artist Yanz is called Out of Order. It embodies several international influences, including jazz, Dutch trap and Cuban sounds. Independently produced with Soso Agency Ab Oy.
The album was created amid the pandemic in a fantastic collaboration across borders with versatile creative professionals.
Debut Album
The storyline highlights growth and artistic development, taking on various topics and sound styles in an ambitious and playful approach. The challenge was to create and expose the artist's versatile range while still creating a story with all the songs.
Concept & Execution
This album's creative concept and direction were developed over time, and the final result ended up being an album that doesn't have the traditional sonically cohesiveness, hence the name Out of Order. Instead, the concept embodies the artist's different artistic levels, where each song takes you to a new floor (elevator reference).
Content Strategy
A trailer of the album concept and an album teaser was created to make the storyline come to life and showcase the variety of songs both visually and sonically.
